Signing of ILO agreement in Geneva

Saint Lucia is proudly represented at the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland — a global forum addressing the most pressing issues in the world of work.

Our tri-partite delegation includes:

– Minister of Labour, Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte

– Permanent Secretary in the Department of Labour, Sheila Imbert (Government)

– President of the Trade Union Federation, Julian Monrose (Workers)

– President of the Employers Federation, Vern Gill (Employers)

Held from June 2–13, 2025 at the Palais des Nations and ILO headquarters, the conference will explore key labour issues such as:

  • Protection against biological hazards
  • Decent work in the platform economy
  • Transitioning from informal to formal employment
