The official signing ceremony for the new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Government Negotiating Team (GNT) and several public service unions, delivering a 13.6% salary increase for the periods 2022–2025 and 2025–2028.
This agreement also includes new benefits for public servants:
• Temporary teachers will now be paid in August.
• Teachers will receive compensation for marking and submitting CXC SBAs.
• Maternity leave can be extended by one month.
• The government will subsidise continuing education for medical professionals, including pharmacists.
• Nurse practitioners will receive diagnostic equipment at no cost.
